County Line News, an independent news site covering Franklin County, North Carolina, starts publishing today.
Franklin County was the fifth-fastest-growing county in North Carolina in 2025, according to the county’s economic development office. New neighborhoods are going up along U.S. 1, and county and town boards make decisions every month about taxes, schools and roads.
Many of those meetings get little or no news coverage. County Line News plans to be there.
